Superhub Bus Stop
Championed by the Manor Royal Business District, the Superhub project aimed to turn uninspiring spaces into interesting and usable places, combining more inviting bus shelters with attractive public realm and complementary facilities for both bus users and the wider Manor Royal community.
Manor Royal Central is the first Superhub. It is a busy westbound bus stop in a highly visible from both directions along Manor Royal road and from Faraday Road. More than a bus stop, the Superhub has transformed this space into something more inspiring, usable and eye-catching, with a new bespoke, bigger shelter, public art, new seating and planting.
Many partners were involved in the delivery of the Superhub and the many bespoke elements within. The concept and surrounding micropark were designed by Allen Scott, whilst Trueform, collaborating with JEDco developed the ultra-modern shelter itself. Furniture was supplied by CUBE, and we worked closely with local artist, Karl Singporewala, to integrate his distinct sculpture, Keikis Fusion’, into the mircopark. Edburton were the main contractor, with the whole scheme supported by engineering and project management expertise from Waterman.
